Step 2: Start at ShoppingRebates.com
You MUST start the sale from ShoppingRebates.com. If you purchase something from a merchant prior to starting here, the sale won't be tracked. Also, you must start here each time. If you purchase something from K-Mart today, and then decide to purchase something again tomorrow, the second sale can only be tracked if you start from ShoppingRebates.com on the second visit also. That said, we recommend you Bookmark this page.
Step 3: Cookies must be ON
Sales are tracked by cookies. Insure your cookies are turned on.
NOTE: If you currently use Mo' Money, Norton AntiVirus v3, SaveNow (WhenUShop), KaZaA, Net2Phone and some other software, there's a chance your order won't be tracked properly. Step 4: Confirm any stipulations
While most merchants offer a simple straight-forward rebate, a few chose to add a stipulation, such as "rebate valid on everything except such and such". We have compiled a list of the most common exclusions, which is available here.
Step 5: What is rebatable
Please note that the rebate you receive is ONLY applied to the actual product or service you purchase. It does not include gift cards, sales tax, shipping charges, duties, gift-wrapping, handling, installations, or any other "add-ons". Unless otherwise noted, rebates are paid ONLY if a sale is made the same day as your initial click-thru from ShoppingRebates.com.
Even if you buy immediately after clicking one of our links, you may have visited the merchant one day last month, and they already set a cookie that says you found their store on your own, and not thru ShoppingRebates. It is always a good idea to clear your cookie cache before shopping online.
Step 6: Click thru to your favorite merchant
Click thru to your favorite merchant and shop normally! Feel free to use any discount codes or coupons, as the rebate you receive is in addition to those savings! You MUST order ONLINE! Phone, mail-in and faxed orders are NOT rebatable, as they can't be tracked.
Step 7: Send us your dated receipt
Just like in the brick-and-mortar world, you'll need to send us a copy of your dated receipt as proof of purchase - except you don't have to mail it to us. Some merchants email you TWO email confirmations - one from your credit card and one from your shopping cart. We need a copy of the email that states what was purchased and your order number. Step 8: Register to receive your rebate
All rebates are sent via PayPal, the industry leader. If you are not yet registered with PayPal, click here to register. (They usually give new signees $5, so you're already ahead!)
Step 9: Allow 8 weeks
Sales reports are sent to each merchant on the 20th of each month. Some merchants are quick, others wait until the chargeback period has expired. We decided a happy middle ground is six weeks.
